This year’s Kagyu Monlam will celebrate the 19th gathering since the first Kagyu Monlam of our time, organised in 1994 in Lumbini – the birthplace of Shakyamuni, the historical Buddha – instigated by His Holiness, the late XIVth Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche.
