The Kagyu Monlam provides an opportunity to gather and recite prayers emanating from the profound wisdom of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

In December 2025, the Kagyu Monlam was held once again in Bodhgaya. Thousands of practitioners of the Karma Kagyu tradition from all over the world gathered beneath the Bodhi Tree alongside His Holiness the Karmapa, His Eminence Jamgon Kongtrul and the great masters of the lineage for a week of accumulating prayers of aspiration for the benefit of all beings.

For the sixth consecutive year, the monastic and lay sangha of the Karmapa Monastery in Europe joined in this great accumulation of aspiration prayers and offerings via a retransmission from the Main Temple at Dhagpo Kundreul Ling. Thank you all for your presence. May these practices, undertaken together, benefit as many people as possible.
